Project Overview
Ferry waiting halls are large public spaces with fluctuating passenger flow, requiring robust heat pump HVAC equipment to maintain consistent indoor comfort all year round. Conventional air conditioning units struggle to deliver sufficient air volume and uniform temperature distribution for high footfall open areas, resulting in poor user experience and higher operating costs. To meet the strict environmental control requirements of a ferry waiting hall project in China, VENTTK delivered a customized heat pump type packaged rooftop unit.
This packaged rooftop unit features 182.5kW cooling capacity and provides 22000m³/h supply air volume. Fully compliant with local 3P/380V/50Hz power standards, it delivers stable air circulation and temperature regulation, ensuring a comfortable indoor environment for passengers within the ferry waiting hall throughout different seasons.

Project Features
Ferry waiting halls face frequent shifts in passenger numbers and variable outdoor weather conditions, which put high demands on large air volume, year round heating and cooling performance. Ordinary HVAC equipment cannot quickly respond to fluctuating heat loads, leading to uneven temperature and uncomfortable air quality for waiting passengers.
VENTTK’s custom heat pump packaged rooftop unit is engineered specifically for large public transit spaces. The unit outputs 22000m³/h large supply air volume to cover the expansive waiting area evenly. As an all in one rooftop system, it saves valuable indoor floor space and simplifies on site installation work.
Matched to China’s standard three phase power grid, the unit runs reliably under continuous daily operation. With integrated heat pump technology, it balances cooling and heating efficiently, stabilises indoor temperature and reduces long term energy consumption for the ferry terminal.
Project Significance
This completed ferry waiting hall project demonstrates VENTTK’s capability to tailor heat pump packaged rooftop units for large public transit buildings. It validates the equipment’s stable large air volume performance under variable passenger load and seasonal climate changes in China.
Drawing on extensive HVAC design and manufacturing experience, VENTTK will keep developing reliable, energy saving rooftop HVAC systems, offering practical climate control solutions for commercial buildings, transport terminals and large public venues worldwide.
