VENTTK CDU for High-Density Data Center Liquid Cooling

Oct 10, 2026

As server racks grow denser, air cooling is reaching its limits. More facilities are turning to liquid cooling — and at the center of that architecture sits a critical component: the Coolant Distribution Unit, or CDU. VENTTK's liquid-to-liquid CDU, installed in the cabinet, is engineered to absorb heat from IT equipment through the secondary side coolant and transfer it to an external primary side cooling system — chilled water or natural cold sources — keeping servers safely within operating temperature.

Precision Control as Standard

Temperature control is where a CDU earns its keep. VENTTK's unit is equipped with a 10 inch color touch screen with multi level permission control, backed by an intelligent liquid cooling control system featuring temperature and pressure monitoring, flow detection, water quality monitoring and anti condensation control. Temperature accuracy reaches ±0.5°C, giving operators the stability that high density computing demands.

Energy Efficiency Without Fans

Cooling is typically the largest share of data center energy use, which is why efficiency is built into the design. The CDU uses plate heat exchangers for high heat transfer efficiency, a high efficiency variable frequency pump with N+1 redundancy, and supports high temperature difference operation. With no fans in the design, energy is spent moving coolant — not air.

Compatibility That Simplifies Integration

The unit is compatible with deionized water, ethylene glycol and propylene glycol solutions, and works seamlessly with liquid cooling plates made of copper or aluminum (3 series and 6 series). That broad compatibility eases integration with existing infrastructure — including retrofit projects that keep the original chilled water system.

Built for Reliability

Corrosion resistant fittings are made of 304 stainless steel or better. The standard RS485 communication interface provides rich detection, alarm and protection functions, with set parameters automatically protected — operating data and alarm records survive power failures. Sensors and filters support online maintenance, filtration accuracy ranges from 25 to 100μm, and dual power supply is available as an option.

Engineering Details That Matter

VENTTK's design reduces installation error through six channels connecting the main circuit to the secondary water distributor, using chucks and rubber hoses. A multi stage centrifugal pump ensures reliable coolant flow, while an integrated expansion tank maintains stable pressure. An automatic air vent valve removes non-condensable gases to prevent oxidation, poor circulation and pump cavitation, and a 150μm filter in the main path protects coolant quality.

Where CDUs Are Used

VENTTK CDUs serve large data centers and supercomputing centers — supporting cooling capacity up to 1500kW — as well as power electronics and battery energy storage systems. By optimizing cooling pathways, centralized CDUs improve the overall energy efficiency ratio and reduce unnecessary energy spending.
